Many people have past events and occurrences that they cannot put behind them, impacting their ability to move forward

Does this sound like you?

We specialise in using an exciting, relatively new technique called Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help fade distressing memories. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to help your brain process the trauma images, moving them from being in “the driver’s seat” to your long-term memory. We use hand tappers and headphones to encourage the fading of images and processing of emotions surrounding traumatic events.

Such traumas can include car accidents, sexual assault, physical assault, domestic violence, betrayal, and natural disasters. This is a remarkable technique, helping people put the traumatic events behind them or more comfortably deal with their memories.

EMDR was originally designed to address trauma but is now used to treat a range of issues, including anxiety, panic, fears and phobias.

Traumatic events are challenging but not a lifetime sentence.  They can be effectively treated, allowing you to plan and design your own future and accomplish your life goals, moving you from a victim to a survivor.
